Any community service organization serving Native Hawaiians in the State of Hawaii which is a not-for-profit organization chartered by the State of Hawaii, is CONTROLLED by Native Hawaiians and whose business activities will principally benefit such Native Hawaiians.

Why Our NHO Is Different
We are CONTROLLED by Native Hawaiians, born and raised on these islands, with lineages stretching back pre-1778.
Transparency is key in maintaining the integrity of the NHO program and reason why we (purposely) designated our NHO as a tax-exempt 501(c)3 nonprofit. Our NHO’ federal tax returns, including our Directors’ salaries are (publicly) available on-line. So you know exactly how and where our funds are being spent.
We post our full NHO Board of Directors—names, faces, and lineage—right here on this site. So you know who we are and, more importantly, who are the (OHA-vertified) Native Hawaiians CONTROLLING our NHO.
