Partnership with
O Kaʻū Kakou

We proudly partner with O Kaʻū Kakou, a kupuna-led, all-volunteer nonprofit, to develop comprehensive workforce plans that help Kaʻū residents achieve self-sufficiency and economic independence. This collaboration allows us to leverage local wisdom and community insight to create tailored solutions that address the unique challenges faced by our residents.

Small Business Development

Small businesses are the backbone of any community. Through our workshops and funding initiatives, we guide Kaʻū residents in starting their own businesses, fostering local entrepreneurship that strengthens the Kaʻū economy. By providing the tools and resources needed to succeed, we encourage innovation and sustainable economic growth within our region.

Strengthening the Local Workforce

In collaboration with industry partners, the Mālama Kaʻū Foundation creates jobs and offers tailored job training programs that ensure our residents have the necessary skills to succeed in the workforce. Our training programs are designed to equip individuals with the latest skills and certifications, enabling them to compete in today’s job market while remaining rooted in their community.
