For donations under $250 → a bank record (like a cancelled check, PayPal receipt, or credit card statement) is enough.
For donations $250 or more → the donor must have a written acknowledgment or receipt from the Malama Ka'u Foundation. The receipt must state: (1) Nonprofit’s name & EIN, (2) Date and amount donated, (3) A statement whether any goods/services were received in exchange.
